Carmel/Chocolate Pretzels

So my Mom bought me everything to make carmel/chocolate dipped pretzels to sell at this weekends boutique.  I melted the carmel to high and it burned and turned a dark brown.  The pretzels I had dipped in where so hard we had to throw them all away.  Learned a lesson, carmel needs to be stirred the entire time and should be melted on low.  I'm going to try it again tomorrow!  Hope all goes well.  These were popular at the last boutique I bought two of them for $2 a piece.

Good Sports fundraiser or bake sale item.

First Fundraiser

This weekend I was in a holiday boutique selling my hats, scarfs, coasters and my new addition of rice bags thanks to Miss Monique!  It went okay, there was not alot of people that came, the boutique was slow but I sold more then most of the people.  I made $214.00 just $4786.00 left to raise.  I would like to give a special thanks to Monique, Maggie, Brenda,Sharon, Wendy, Sandy, Allison, Corie and Connie.  These ladies came to visit me at the boutique and bought my stuff.  the rice bags are really cool, I will post pictures, you can warm them up or freeze them we call them boo boo bags.  Please let me know if you would like to order anything posted.

If you are doing a sports fundraiser the Boo Boo Bags are a great item to sell if you know how to sew.  I am selling the big ones for $10 and the small for $5.

I will be doing another boutique next week at the K2 church in SLC.  If you are in Montana I will be there for Thanksgiving and can deliver special orders.

I will also be selling Scentsy so please order from me I get 25% of all my sales and I know everyone loves Scentsy.

My Grandma Judy will be donating all of her wood ornaments and stained glass to me.  My Mom will be holding a homeshow the first week of December with all of the items and the ones listed above.

Starting my Journey

October 13th, I was accepted into the People to People student ambassador program. I received my letters of recommendation from a couple of my teachers and my BoyScout leader, I then attended an interview where I was very nervous.  I was so excited to get the phone call that I was accepted, but that is just the beginning of my journey.  If you want to know more about the program go to peopletopeople.com

My Mom helped me put together this blog so I could update friends and family on my journey.  Over the next 7 months I will be working to raise $5000.00 for my trip.  I will be going to Paris and London for 14 days with the People to People student ambassador program June 12th - June 25th 2011.

This blog witth also be  fun for my friends who want to travel with People to People in the future, they may get some good and not so good fundraising idea's.
